The more friends, less depression

One of the ways that can help to reduce the incidence of depression in people is close friends. Even the company with family members can also be effective in increasing the lifetime. Researchers say that having multiple friends can increase the length of life and can reduce the depression. Australian scientists say sitting with friends in old age even more than companion with family members helps to increase the longevity. A research team surveyed a range of social, health and personal habits of more than 1,500 people over 70 years on lifetime. As part of this study, it is asked the volunteers that who much is their personal and telephone contact with various social networks, including children, relatives, friends and confidants. The responses were recorded with the profile of each person and this team came back to the same people after ten years and found that those who have the most contact with their friends and acquaintances had 22 percent likely more life chance than those who had poor communication network. This issue was true even if the person had experienced major changes, such as death of a spouse or a close family member. Scientists pointed out that friends around the person may encourages him to be more protect own health and in addition to their presence and commute reduce the negative emotions such as anxiety and depression in hard times and morbidity.
